There Is A New FasTRAK Transponder Sticker For All You Commuters
According to the Southern California Auto Club The Toll Roads on routes 73, 133, 241, and 261 in Orange County has begun transitioning from the battery-operated, hard-case transponders to the new sticker transponders that adhere to the inside of vehicle windshields to allow for toll collection.
The roll out of the new sticker transponder is less expensive to make and now the Prepaid Fas Trak account holders will earn a $1 discount on each toll transaction when they spend $40 or more in a month driving the 73, 133, 241, or 261 toll roads. This is part of the TCA's new frequent-driver discount program. The new sticker transponders will be available for free to ExpressAccount Customers, starting in September. It also appears that the monthly account maintenance fee for FasTrak account holders will be eliminated.
